The Central European Summer Time (CEST) changeover will occur on Sunday night. At 2.00 a.m., all radio-controlled clocks should jump to 3.00 a.m.; the others have to be turned manually. Standard time (CET) is switched back on the last weekend in October. What will happen with the abolition of the time changeover in the EU is still unclear, but it has already been decided. The ball is still in the EU Council of Ministers’ court; the transport ministers are responsible.

Ingenious tricks
Like every time, many people ask themselves whether to set the hand forward or backward. But there are a few things to remember that you will never forget.
Just like the temperature: up in summer and down in winter
In summer, you put the garden furniture “in front” of the door, and in winter, you put it “back” in the shed.
Always in the direction of summer: in other words, forward in spring and back in fall.
Or a simple saying in English: Spring forward, fall back.
In March 2019, the European Parliament voted by a large majority in favor of abolishing summer time in 2021 – or one year later if there are difficulties for the single market. However, most member states must still agree to this to make it a reality. Poland, which currently holds the EU Council Presidency, is sounding out what the other EU states think about the proposal. However, there is no great hope of a solution in the near future.
